Brahma, a global AI and content technology company under the DNEG Group, has acquired Metaphysic, an AI content creation technology firm. This acquisition aims to enhance Brahma’s development of AI-powered tools for enterprise clients, IP rights-holders, and content creators.

Following the transaction, Brahma is valued at $1.43 billion. United Al Saqer Group will invest an additional $25 million, complementing its previous $200 million investment in DNEG. Metaphysic’s investors, including Liberty Global, S32, Rakuten Capital, TO Ventures, and 8VC, will become shareholders in Brahma.

Brahma’s focus will be on foundational AI, data, and content workflow technologies for video, image, and audio creation. The combined team of 800+ engineers and technologists will integrate DNEG’s technology portfolio, Metaphysic’s AI tools, CLEAR’s AI platform, and Ziva’s award-winning digital human simulation tools.

Ziva recently received a 2025 SciTech Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, while Metaphysic’s AI tools earned a Visual Effects Society Emerging Technology Award.

Brahma’s leadership includes Executive Chairman Prabhu Narasimhan, interim CEO Namit Malhotra, and Thomas Graham as President and future CEO. Other key leaders include Ramki Sankaranarayanan as President of CLEAR, Paul Salvini as CTO, and Crawford Doran as VP of Ziva.

Brahma aims to extend high-quality AI content creation beyond entertainment to industries such as retail, healthcare, and education, offering scalable tools for managing data, protecting IP, and generating new revenue streams through customizable content.
