DreamPark has secured $1.1 million in seed funding to support the rollout of its location-based mixed reality (XR) platform. The investment round was led by Long Journey Ventures, with participation from Founders Inc. The funding will help scale the company’s infrastructure, develop new content, and establish installations across additional U.S. cities.

DreamPark’s platform allows users to interact with digital overlays that appear in real-world environments. By scanning physical markers such as QR codes using Meta Quest headsets or smartphones, participants can activate immersive experiences tied to their immediate surroundings. These installations require no permanent construction or dedicated facilities, offering a flexible approach to interactive entertainment.

Adoption of Mixed Reality in Public Spaces

The company’s system has already been deployed at locations like the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and the LA County Fair. Future deployments are planned for Seattle, Orange County, and various expos and corporate venues.

DreamPark’s timing coincides with rising interest in immersive experiences among event organizers and retail property owners. The XR live event market, valued at $3.6 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $190.3 billion by 2034, growing at a 48.7% annual rate. As physical venues look for new ways to engage visitors, location-based XR solutions present a cost-effective option.

How the Funding Will Be Used

DreamPark plans to use the seed capital to:

  • Deploy new access points at retail, entertainment, and public venues
  • Form partnerships to develop branded digital experiences
  • Expand its rental inventory of Meta Quest headsets
  • Grow its software development team to improve platform features and create new content

This modular approach reduces setup time and capital costs compared to traditional VR attractions, which often require purpose-built environments. DreamPark’s model allows for quick adaptation across a variety of settings without disrupting the underlying space.
